Introduction
Up until 2003 I hadn't had a Land Rover. Always wanted one, but
the time and budgetary conditions weren't right. But then, I'm not
sure the budgetary conditions are ever right to own a Land Rover, or
at least one used the way we use ours.
Then, we, or rather I, decided we needed a new car, I was no
longer in the job I had been and the company saloon was no longer really suitable for 2 adults, 2-3 children
and a dog. The time was right, the budgetary conditions probably
weren't, and haven't been since, but a Land Rover it had to be. I
fancied a 110, my wife thought they were ugly (doesn't now) so I
bought a Discovery. What I bought was one of the last 200 TDi's off
the production line .

June 2009 Update
This site will be relaunched later
in the year with a new look - not so cluttered and better
information hopefully including changes I've made in the last 18
months - together with a write up of our August 2009 trip back to
Morocco with Waypoint Tours, not Trailmasters as originally planned.
We've also bought a second vehicle (another Discovery) as per my
wife's 2007 trip suggestion! And I plan to start working on that
later in the year.
Next year - well we and some
friends have started making noises at each other about doing our own
trip possibly based on routes in Chris Scott's book due out this
month, so I hope to include all relevant info on that as well.
